Designs from the AS Home x Laura collection, created together with their owners from the very beginning, become a part of their lives. The bookcase adds a sense of warm, lived-in elegance to any space. Spacious, long, open shelves for books create a subtle backdrop in a delicate, warm white tone. The handcrafted frame surrounding the piece, along with carefully hidden modern features such as LED lighting —allowing you to enjoy your collection even in the dark — creates a charming and refined atmosphere, ensuring timeless comfort and durability. It is designed to blend gently into the background, while the arranged books emphasize its vertical, slender form.
The key element of the bookcase is its frame, subtly decorated with a simple yet expressive milling detail that references classic style while maintaining a contemporary lightness.
Each bookcase we create is designed to meet your needs and your vision of the perfect space for storing books, while also becoming an integral part of a study, living room, or dining area. It can be made as a standalone piece or built-in (as shown in the project). It may be open or closed with solid doors or a glass display cabinet. Our built-in furniture is handcrafted with attention to every detail, using solid materials and proven systems.
What distinguishes our bookcases:
- Proportions tailored to the space, including carefully selected shelf and door thicknesses
- LED lighting with a hidden switch, controlled remotely from anywhere in the room, or — if enclosed — activated automatically when doors are opened, creating a unique visual effect and enhancing usability
- Glass-fronted cabinets or doors that add subtle textures and visual interest; Optiwhite glass offers exceptional clarity and transparency
- Shelves tailored to your expectations: lacquered in any RAL or NCS color or custom-matched to your interior; milled from high-quality MDF suitable for deep profiling (from bold edges to subtle forms); wooden shelves with veneered panels (flader or striped grain) protected with Rubio oil wax for a natural, elegant, and warm effect; or smooth laminates perfectly matched to your design
- Shelves made of lacquered MDF (e.g., matching wall color), designed for everyday use and aesthetic consistency
