The creative process is always an exciting experience for us. We enjoy exploring classical forms and discovering other material possibilities, experimenting with them, and attention to detail is evident at every stage of our work. We are gaining more and more experience in working with quartz conglomerate. And although crystal mirror is still our main finishing material, we increasingly combine it with other materials. Therefore, in this project, for the finish of the top of an impressive mirrored dressing table with drawers, whose fronts are chamfered, we chose a well-known quartz conglomerate with beautiful veins on a milky white background. We also painted the legs in this color.
The collection takes the form of an exclusive, subtle piece of furniture, which it owes to the material it is finished with. It stands out with its refined and elegant pattern. The solid construction of the dressing table makes it possible to also arrange it as a subtle desk in the living room or console.

The table top has 2 drawers, is 15 cm high, and is made of precisely polished crystal mirror with chamfered edges. The front and sides are chamfered by 1 cm. Upon customer request, the upper surface of the top can also be chamfered. The top of the dressing table is finished with a Calacatta Gold conglomerate slab from Technistone, whose beautiful veins are also visible in the cross-section of the slab, making it even more similar to natural material. In the middle of the drawers, an elegant handle is attached – a crystal knob, chromed at the base. Upon customer request, the drawer bottom can be finished with leather. The width of each drawer, with a console width of 90 cm, is 33,5 cm. The entire piece is mounted on four long, tapering down wooden legs painted perfectly smooth white. As part of the Manhattan collection, AS HOME company also designed a seat, which preserves all the details according to the established pattern.
The seat is to complement the furniture so that together they create a cohesive whole. It is upholstered in soft, velvety fabric for a pleasant and tactile feel, or leather, for an additional fee. Upon customer request, it can also be finished with a material provided by them.
The Manhattan collection is distinguished by its light form, achieved through the use of crystal mirror as a finishing material for both the top and the legs of some pieces. In another version, mirror is combined with delicate white lacquered wooden legs. The crystal mirrored top with chamfers, two drawers adorned with elegant crystal knobs, and long, slender legs—either mirrored or tapered wooden—emphasize the design’s lightness and grace. Mirrored legs gently diffuse reflected light, creating an airy visual effect.
We have created: Manhattan Marble, with a Calacatta Silva quartz conglomerate top; and Manhattan Dark, finished entirely in black Lacobel.
Mirror is beautiful, but also fragile and sensitive. Damages on the mirror or glass surfaces can easily decrease its original charm and beauty, so it is good to prevent them. By keeping them in a good conditions, we can enjoy them for a long time. Don’t place things with a rough or sharp bases on the mirror and glass surfaces. You can avoid scratches and water rings by using pads on the table tops.
Care and maintenance of crystal mirror
Avoid using paper towels on mirror and glass surfaces – it will leave an unaesthetic lints.
Don’t use sharp or rugged things and detergents containing acids or ammonia, so that it can destroy the silver back and edges of the mirror.
Use a high quality products, dedicated for cleaning the mirror and glass surfaces, such as wipes made of microfiber, which are very soft and springy. It is enough to wipe the surface with a dry or wet wipe.
Care and maintenance of quartz conglomerate
For cleaning the quartz conglomerate you have to use regular, but unaggressive detergents (without strong acids and basics, which can be found in some products). Just clean it with a clean water and delicate wipe. In case you need an intensive cleaning, you have to use cleaner dedicated for natural granites.
