Floating mirrored console with a fluted drawer on a Gramercy frame Gramercy Collection
Grooves in the form of symmetrical stripes challenged smooth surfaces. Fluted elements have appealed to many of our clients who were looking for interesting solutions for their interiors, which is why this design has also been introduced into our workshop’s offer. The drawer front made of MDF with fine, regular fluting in the form of narrow vertical grooves creates a subtle, rhythmic striped pattern, adding coziness and lightness to the furniture’s form. It introduces an elegant play of light and shadow, giving the console a refined character. This is an original console design by our designer Ania, combining chamfered crystal mirror, fluted MDF and powder-coated steel. The top itself appears to float, gently suspended above the frame.

The console top is finished with chamfered crystal mirror and satin fluted MDF. All mirrored elements on the top, sides, back and panels are chamfered; the chamfer is 1 cm. The drawer, finished with fluted MDF, is 65 cm wide and 14.5 cm high and features a soft-close mechanism. It is mounted on bottom runners, making them invisible from the side when opened. It has no knob, which allows the fluting on the drawer front to stand out. The bottom of the drawer is finished with leather in the interior color, enhancing the refined character of the design. The total width of the console is 90 cm, depth 30 cm, and height 90 cm.
The top floats on a delicate frame made of powder-coated steel, whose distinct horizontal lines emphasize the horizontal layout of the furniture. In this project, the steel color is matte chrome, however, at the client’s request it can be changed according to the available color palette in the accessories section.
Passion, an original approach to furniture design and a constant pursuit of perfection, as well as openness to new innovative experiences in craftsmanship with mirror, lacobel and sintered quartz, resulted in the creation of the Gramercy collection, where we freely combine these materials with powder-coated steel.
We are constantly pushing the boundaries of our experience. The colors and texture offered by powder-coated steel represent another level of exploration and discovery in our workshop. The steel we use is a strong material, allowing the creation of very thin lines in space, forming openwork frame structures for our crystal mirror and lacobel tops. Thanks to this, interior arrangements gain even greater clarity and directness.
Mirror is beautiful, but also fragile and sensitive. Damages on the mirror or glass surfaces can easily decrease its original charm and beauty, so it is good to prevent them. By keeping them in a good conditions, we can enjoy them for a long time. Don’t place things with a rough or sharp bases on the mirror and glass surfaces. You can avoid scratches and water rings by using pads on the table tops.
Care and maintenance of crystal mirror
Avoid using paper towels on mirror and glass surfaces – it will leave an unaesthetic lints.
Don’t use sharp or rugged things and detergents containing acids or ammonia, so that it can destroy the silver back and edges of the mirror.
Use a high quality products, dedicated for cleaning the mirror and glass surfaces, such as wipes made of microfiber, which are very soft and springy. It is enough to wipe the surface with a dry or wet wipe.
Care and maintenance of MDF
Clean MDF surfaces with a soft, damp microfiber cloth using mild detergents or water with a small amount of dish soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol, abrasive sponges, and excessive moisture, as these can cause swelling or damage to the material.
Care and maintenance of steel
Painted steel should be maintained regularly to preserve its aesthetic appearance and protect the surface from scratches and corrosion. For cleaning, a soft, damp cloth or sponge with a mild detergent is sufficient. After wiping, the surface should be thoroughly dried to prevent streaks.
Abrasive cleaners, solvents, alcohol, or cleaning powders should not be used, as they can damage the coating.
